About

WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER

Born in India and raised in Flushing, NY, where his single mother moved in prospects of a better life.  Little did she know that he had caught the film bug from his grand father, a silent film actor who had given up his pursuit of acting to raise a family. Going to see classic film matinees after pre-school was Kevin’s first glimpse of the magical world of cinema and its ability to transport people to different worlds.  Was then that he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, create these worlds.

Dropping out of business school to pursue his passion for filmmaking, he joined Hunter College and graduated with a degree in Film and Psychology.  He has worked on countless productions independent, studio and television like NBC, Discovery,National Geographic, MTV, HBO and others.  He has worked as an Assistant Director, Editor, Producer and Director. He has written well-received articles for magazines about production for Microfilmmaker.com and Ningin.com.  He has produced a travel show in the US with 6 languages and 4 cities in 2 months and created and produced a pilot home improvement show as well.

His goal was to learn every aspect of filmmaking before foraying into his passion for directing.  He has directed experimental shorts with different budgets and time constraints to figure out the logistics of the process.  He has produced and directed  “Film 101” which won best indie feature at Seattle True Independent Film Festival and a best actor award at Golden Gate Film Festival.  He was also the first to adopt and shoot a feature with the Red camera as a producer for “Anything for You.” He worked as a  production supervisor for “Take me Home”, a multiple award winning American comedy as well as a production coordinator on “Shor in the City,” the best reviewed Indian movie in 2010.
